Cornard Dynamos Under 15's will now take a break from both training, and matches until Nanny Jupp/Presentation Day which is to be held on Saturday 07 June 2008; please arrive at Blackhouse Lane by 09.00am suitably dressed to play in a 5-a-side tournament; I hope that all players and their parents will support this event.

I also need to know as soon as possible your intent for next season, to give ample time to prepare for the 2008/09 season. You came mighty close to promotion this year and I see no reason why you cannot contend for the title in 2008/09 given the form that you produced during the second half of this season.

Running The Line.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Shaun Baker, Keith Game, Kevin Hay, Terry Liggett and Steve Melia for kindly running the line throughout the season; without this support, there would simply not have been any football matches played by Cornard Dynamos Under 15’s.

Corner Flags and goals.
I would like to thank Derek Tomkinson for collecting the corner flags in at the end of our home matches; this support is gratefully appreciated. I would also like to thank the team for kindly putting goals out, as well as collecting back in after matches; this is a task that I am unable to do myself and am very grateful for the help.

First Aid.
I would like to thank Louise Hay, Louise Mawson and Lynn O’Connell for kindly giving their time to offer first aid to the whole team throughout training sessions and at matches; this is another crucial role that without, a team cannot function successfully.

Coaching Staff.
I owe a great deal of thanks to Clive and Mark Davey, who have coached the team and supported me throughout the whole season, in what has to be said, some rather difficult times and without their help, I could never have managed the team.

Kit Returns.
On 27 April 2008, we will be playing our final league fixture of the current 2007/08 season, away to FC Clacton Reds. Please make sure that you come with a spare change of clothing for after that match, as I shall be collecting all kits in on that day.

Nanny Jupp/Presentation Day.
This year’s Nanny Jupp/Presentation Day has been booked for 07 June 2008. This will be an all-day event, which I hope as many of you as possible will be able to attend?

There will be the usual in-club tournament, followed by presentations. If after our presentation has concluded, you would like to referee some of the younger groups games, please do let me know as soon as possible; to date, I have disappointingly had no volunteers.

Remember - We are all members of this club and its success depends upon its members commitment.

Between now and then.
During the close season, there will be a series of 5-a-side tournaments, as well as 11-a-side matches that you will need to confirm your intent to play in; we do not have to play in them all, but I need your feedback between now and 11 May 2008. If there are not enough players available, tournaments will not be entered:

11 May 2008: Cornard Dynamos U15’s v Parents of Cornard Dynamos U15’s.
01 June 2008: Colchester Athletic Annual 5-a-side Tournament
14 June 2008: Feering Falcons 5-a-side Tournament.
05 July 2008: Colchester Villa 5-a-side Tournament.
06 July 2008: Lawford Juniors 5-a-side Tournament.
12 July 2008: Acton Fete 5-a-side Tournament.
Loddon Cup: Date to be arranged.
Stanway Cup 11-a-side Tournament: Date to be confirmed.

And finally…
Considering that at Christmas, we were three from bottom of the Colchester & District B League, we can be very proud of our league table finish; our last 13 games have resulted in 9 wins, 3 draws and just 1 defeat - if that form can be carried into the 2008/09 season, I have no doubt that you will win the league.
